
(2016-✔) First in the “new wave of local tiki-inspired projects,” Miss B’s Coconut Club is a rum-centric Cuban-themed restaurant and drinkery on the Mission Beach boardwalk. The San Diego “coco club” has been serving daily brunch, burgers, tacos and tropical drinks to beachgoers and sun worshippers since established by Peter Cich & Rob McShea (Duck Dive, PB Shore Club) in 2016. Among the cocktails on Rob’s first drink menu were the Caribe Welcome served in a coconut, and Havana Good Time made for two with vodka, pamplemousse, grapefruit-cucumber cordial, and kombucha.
But who’s “Miss B?”

In 2021, Miss B’s opened a sister concept in Little Italy. Cocomaya by Miss B’s is based on Mexican tropical drinks and coastal cuisine.
Locked in the archives for over a century. These rare diecut brochures from c1914-1915 (beautifully printed in San Diego by Frye & Smith) reveal Miss B’s roots.
